Making of Toy Boxes and the Environment

The children toy boxes that are made in large numbers for the storage of kids’ toys can now be made of plastic and other synthetic materials instead of wood so the toy industry can help much in the restoration of the forests of the world and improve the overall condition of the environment. The diminution of the vegetative cover of the globe especially the tropical forests have been cited as one of the major causes for the breach in the ozone layer and the subsequent heating of the world due to the sun’s rays now easily penetrating towards the earth.

The long-term solution of the global warming problem is the massive replanting of all kinds of trees and other plants to increase the absorption of the carbon dioxide which has caused rising temperatures worldwide. There could even be a total ban of the cutting of all trees and the prohibition of the use of wood for construction of houses and the making of furniture and toys/toy box storage; instead the materials to be used in these industries should be the recycled metals and non-biodegradable synthetic materials from the world’s garbage dumps.

The recycled materials are saving the trees and the forests from further abuse, so they are left to grow and ensure the abundance of carbon dioxide catchers to restore world temperatures to their levels before. Furniture makers and toy manufacturers can help very much the advocacies of environmental groups now for restoring ideal living conditions on the globe by showing that they can do well in continuing their businesses by helping in the recycling industry through the use of the recycled materials.

The two main problems of the world now are the economy and the imbalance in the environment. The economy can only move again if half of the world’s population of over six billion people can be made productive and become part of the world market for economic goods. The problem in the environment can be addressed effectively through no other means but by the strict restoration of the earth’s vegetative cover. This will bring down the temperatures which are rising in what is now known as global warming, and causing so much havoc now on humanity.

There are parts of the world now hit by strong cyclones and heavy flooding which never before occurred in these places. Even the tropical typhoons which had a set pattern of movement before are behaving erratically and unpredictably causing much damage. These changes in the movements of the typhoons are also believed to be caused by the global warming phenomenon.

While there are some technological initiatives to achieve balanced world temperature levels, these are at most temporary in nature. The best alternative is to go back to the soil and plant the vegetation that used to cover the world before. Besides, the massive replanting activities will lead to the production of more food to circumvent the food shortages feared, and to empower more people with monies they never had before.
