The treasure
toy
box chest, available in many stores specializing in the selling
of all kinds of playthings for the kids, will surely be a hit with
your little boy as the toy speaks of many tales of pirates of old
in the high seas. When you talk of the significance of the treasure
baby
toy chest in the lives of those sea-going bandits in the Caribbean,
the boy will give you no rest until you can answer his endless questions,
asked in the manner of an experienced criminal lawyer.
That is what you will get for giving him an idea of what the toy
is all about, which the little tot initially thought will just be
used as a box for putting his other toys after playing with them.
You made the situation more intriguing
to him when you included in your purchase two one-eyed patches and
tried on the larger one immediately in the store as the clerk was
wrapping up the treasure chest toy.
When the wife asked you why you are getting the eye patch for your
self, the curious little tyke overheard your ready answer that "I
was once a pirate in the Caribbean" to the delight of the store
clerk listening to your conversation. She immediately confirmed
to your little boy's query on whether it was true that you were
really once a feared pirate in the high seas, assuring the little
tot that "Darling, my father was also a pirate too in the company
of your Dad, robbing all the ships passing by their territory."
Your wife caught on the fantastic tale quickly and was now prodding
the tot on more questions to ask.
You and your wife left the store smiling
together with the sales lady, the boy more wide-eyed than ever,
especially when the clerk asked him to come back next time for that
pirate's sword hanging in the wall.
When you reached home the tot directly sat down before the computer
and started searching the Net for what is in it about the Caribbean
pirates you and your wife were enjoying talking about back at the
store with the clerk.
Horrors, what have we started here, you whispered to your wife.
The wife just smiled and admonished you for starting the pirate
talk in the first place. "Do not underestimate kids these days,"
she reminds you. "They know net browsing more than you do.
Apparently our boy has more questions to ask about the Caribbean
pirates, so better be prepared if he cannot find the answers online."
Your days went back to the time when you were young and wanted more
information about the Caribbean pirates which were the popular comic
characters in the comics you endlessly read about in your own boyhood.
You remembered frequenting the public library in town then, searching
for more materials to read on the treasure toy
chest and storage the pirates dug up from the ocean depths,
giving the all the money and the gold buried in the seas together
with the ships that sank due to the high winds then.
You just cannot help wondering if that public library still exists
to this day. If it is no longer there, better ask help from your
little boy on how to search for the subject on pirates in the Web.
What should we do now, Mr. Caribbean Pirate?
